Woke up early one August morning this summer and walked down to the water to watch the sun rise over the New Jersey Shore with my love. It’s new love still in the fresh love stage. The kind that’s so good, it makes you nervous. As we were sitting there, two young girls hollered over, “You two look so cute!” After some small talk, I asked where they were from. They were actually local girls. We teased them that we drove six hours for this and they just crossed a bridge. The girls then proceeded to share that they were high school best friends and that one of them was leaving that day for college. They had woken up to watch the sunset together one last time before she left to live three hours away. Such a big new change for their years old friendship.

New things are scary but they are always beginnings to the next chapters of our lives. Like the sun rising up over the ocean, a new day is an invitation to new opportunities to enjoy the hell out of this amazing life.

I encourage you to embrace the new and every amazing, unexpected feeling that can come with it! ❤️
